Alicia Minshew:

Alicia Minshew was born and raised in South Florida. She was the third of four girls in a tight-knit family. Her mother, Lenore, is a Pilates instructor, and her father, James, is an Episcopal minister. Born with the acting bug, she has wanted to act professionally for as long as she can remember. After graduating high school, Minshew received a musical theatre scholarship to Indian River College. She acted in several plays and musicals including “Grease,” “Kiss Me Kate,” “Godspell,” and “Nunsense.” She also hosted a satellite music program, “The Music Zone,” where she introduced videos and broadcasted live reports.

After college, Minshew began working as a model in Miami and shot her first commercial. She was soon invited to audition for “All My Children” in New York. She wasn’t cast at this time, but the experience pushed her to take the leap and relocate to the big apple. Once in New York City, she signed with a talent agent and a commercial agent, joined SAG, and quickly booked two national commercials.

Minshew has built an impressive acting and modeling resume, appearing in numerous national commercials, voiceovers, and print ads. She starred on the live stage in the New York productions of “Beggar on Horseback” and “Of Love and Betrayal.” Minshew’s film and television credits include “Celebrity Death Match,” “Hit and Runway,” “The Caprice,” and a starring role in “Game Day.”

Minshew’s big break came when she was cast in the leading role of Kendall Hart on “All My Children,” filling the shoes of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Minshew’s portrayal of Kendall soon became a fan-favorite, earning her more screen time with a pivotal storyline. Her portrayal of Kendall earned her two Daytime Emmy and Soap Opera Digest Awards nominations, as well as a huge fan base. Minshew has become a holistic living, fitness, and healthy food advocate. To date, she has been featured in Allure, TV Guide, Soap Opera Digest, People, Soap Opera Weekly, The Hollywood Reporter, CelebrityBabyScoop, and the cover of Pregnancy, to name a few. She has also appeared on “The View,” “Entertainment Tonight,” “Extra,” “E! Online,” “Gayle King”, and “Showbiz Tonight”.

Now that “All My Children” is off the air, Minshew is entering the next phase of her career. She was most recently seen in a guest appearance on the hit fashion-based reality show Jersey Couture on Oxygen and is filming an independent film this spring.

Minshew is also a philanthropist and has recently committed a great deal of her time, energy, and resources to charities that help children, including the AmeriCorps program City Year. In her free time, she enjoys long distance running, weight training, pilates, dancing, and writing. She also loves spending time with her young daughter, Willow Lenora, and husband, Richie Herschenfeld. The family is currently bicoastal, splitting their time between Los Angeles and New York.

Jordi Vilasuso:

Jordi Vilasuso grew up in Miami, FL and knew that an acting career was something that he wanted to pursue from a very young age. He started by doing community theater at around eleven years old and working in the small TV and film industry that was available in South Florida. When he was 18 years old he moved to Los Angeles and soon after New York City for a contract role on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light. After winning an Emmy in 2003, he moved back to Los Angeles to further pursue work in other venues like film and prime time television. During his time there, he worked in both and in theater. Notably, he has starred in films such as La Linea with Andy Garcia and Esai Morales, Guest starred in programs such as CSI:Miami, and played the title role of Leonardo in Lorca's Bodas de Sangre (Blood Wedding) for the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts. Currently, he just wrapped the role of Griffin Castillo on ABC's All My Children. Jordi has closed ties to his home town of Miami and was honored this year as one of Miami Magazine's Modern Hispanic Gentlemen. The campaign is used to promote philanthropists and their charities.
